Ed Forst is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant and has been dedicated to helping individuals with all aspects of financial planning since 1980. As President and CEO of the Lincoln Investment Companies, Ed oversees the activities of over 800 licensed advisors and more than 300 full-time operations and support personnel.

The Lincoln Investment Companies include a full-service broker-dealer and registered investment advisors serving the diverse and changing financial needs of more than 270,000 individual investors, representing over $24.7 billion in assets. For almost 50 years, Lincoln Investment has been committed to helping individuals and families achieve long-term financial well-being through the expert guidance of independent financial professionals.


Steven Flax

Steve began working at Lincoln Investment in 2008. As Sr. Vice President, Human Resources, Steve is responsible for all human resources functions, including employment, employee relations, welfare programs and organizational development. Steve has more than 25 years of human resources management experience in financial services and high-tech manufacturing industries for companies such as AEGON/Transamerica and SmithKline-Beckman. Steve is active in the Society for Human Resources Management, and has been a finalist for Delaware Valley HR Person of the Year.


Denis Houser

Denis brings 25 years of experience in the financial services industry to his role as Sr. Vice President, Business Development for Capital Analysts. He has served in various executive-level, consulting, business development and investment management roles. He has driven growth in numerous start-up companies in the advisory services sector. Working with new venture firms as well as large companies, Denis has established new organizations and the processes to support them. His employers have included investment managers, technology providers and distribution organizations. Denis graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a BSE in Finance.


Deirdre B. Koerick

Deirdre is Sr. Vice President, CCO for the Lincoln Investment Companies, and is responsible for the firm-wide compliance of its two subsidiaries, Lincoln Investment, a registered broker/dealer and registered investment advisor, and Capital Analysts, a registered investment advisor. She has more than 30 years of experience in the securities compliance business with work experience spanning the regulatory side of the industry as well as the B/D and RIA side. During her career, she was Senior Examiner at the Philadelphia Stock Exchange; Assistant Vice President at Janney Montgomery Scott, Inc. and Vice President and Director at Capital Analysts Incorporated. She operated her own independent compliance consulting firm for seven years prior to joining Lincoln Investment in 1998.

Deirdre holds FINRA Series 27, 24 and 7 Registrations. She has an MBA from Temple University and a Bachelor's degree from The Pennsylvania State University. She has been a speaker at industry national conferences on matters relating to compliance and she was also former Chairman of the Insurance Affiliated Broker/Dealer Forum, a compliance officers networking group.


Mark Marr

As the Sr. Vice President, CFO of the Lincoln Investment Companies, Mark brings more than 30 years of experience in finance, accounting and business management for financial services companies to his role. Before joining Lincoln Investment in 2010, Mark spent 13 years with ING Advisors Network (now Cetera Financial Group) as Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Financial Officer. During this period he held various responsibilities, including finance, operations, I/T, compliance, due diligence and the strategic relationships functions. He was also CFO of ING's largest broker/dealer, Financial Network Investment Corporation (FNIC), which was acquired by Aetna Retirement Services in 1997. Mark also served as Chief Financial Officer for Aetna Financial Services and held positions with Price Waterhouse as an auditor and Bank of Boston Corporation as a Lending Officer. Mark is a CPA and holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 27 and 66 Registrations. He has an MBA from Northeastern University and a Bachelor's degree from Bowdoin College.


Stephen Quickel

A graduate of Dartmouth College with a degree in Economics, Steve joined Lincoln Investment in 1993 as a manager in Lincoln’s Information Technology group. Two years later he joined Lincoln’s executive team as Vice President, End-User Computing. In 2009, Steve was promoted to Sr. Vice President, Information Technology. In addition to his work with Lincoln, Steve’s 25+ years in technology have included strategic IT planning for ARCO Chemical Company, owning and managing a network consulting/training business, and several years as a programmer. He identifies one of IT's major responsibilities at Lincoln Investment as the development of tools that support financial advisors and investors alike. Steve holds a FINRA Series 99 registration.


John D. Schu

John D. Schu, CFP®, AIF®, CLTC, TGPC

Branch Development


As Sr. Vice President, Branch Development, John provides business planning, growth strategies, support and administration for the new branch offices he develops. John sets revenue and sales targets for the entire company and works with the executive team on company management, product development, sales and marketing activities and provides branch administrative policies and procedures. He is responsible for the management of the seven company agency branch offices, supervises Lincoln Investment's recruiting activities and supports the business development and management for Lincoln Investment's independent agency branches. John joined Lincoln Investment in 1982 as a financial advisor and served as Regional Manager in New Jersey for 10 years before becoming an executive with the company. A veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, John is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant, has earned the designation of Tax-Exempt and Governmental Plan Consultant (TGPC) and has earned certification in Long-Term Care (CLTC).
